Is MJ Rush free to play?

Yes — MJ Rush is free to download and play on iOS, Android, and the web. There's no paywall and no third-party ads. Optional in-app purchases let you grab extra coins or avatars, but you never need them to play, climb the ranks, or win.

Is this real-money gambling?

No. MJ Rush is purely for entertainment. The coins you win or lose are virtual, have no cash value, and can't be exchanged for real money — there's no wagering and no real-world prizes.

Do I need friends online to play?

Not at all. Tap Quick Match and you're in a four-player game within seconds — any empty seats are filled instantly by AI opponents, so the table is always full, day or night.

I'm new to Mahjong — can I learn here?

Which Mahjong rules does it use?

Full Hong Kong Mahjong — four players, traditional tiles, and faan-based scoring. If you grew up on HK-style rules, it'll feel right at home.

Can I play with my own friends?

Create a Private Room, share the 4-letter code, and invite up to three friends for a quick hand or a full match. Empty seats can still be filled by AI if you're short a player.
